StarPAC CTP Developer is designed as a universal chemistry for use with non pre-heat thermal digital plates. The clear color chemistry is Ready-To-Use for auto-processing and also serves as the replenisher.
Plate Compatibility Using the recommended processing parameters below, the first step is for the thermal plate type in use to be primarily evaluated for levels of image loss. The amount of permissible image loss is to meet the plate manufacture specifications. The imaging parameters (exposure) for the platesetter and plate type in use will remain the same when processing with the StarPAC CTP Developer. It is recommended to carry out the standard checks for clearing of the plate background of the plate types in use. The developer strength is pitched at an activity level that makes a quick active switch of the exposed coating. This facilitates an increase in processing speed and a reduction in platesetter imaging time (exposure) while maintaining good dot reproduction.
Processor Compatibility The developer is suitable for the various processors accredited by thermal digital plate manufacturers or suppliers. The manual filling of the processor will result in foaming of the chemistry so care must be taken when decanting from the container. Processors equipped with auto-fill will minimise foaming. Once the foam settles there is no foaming during normal processing. The StarPAC CTP Developer can be used in conjunction with all reputable acid-finishers (i.g. Unifin). The developer offers conjunctive use of digital and conventional positive plates.

Dwell Time (Start to Stop) : 25-35 seconds
Replenishment Rates : 100-150 ml/mm subject to plate usage.
Developer Bath Life : Capability = 4 weeks or 2,500 mm (Individual results may vary)
